the thing about the logitech g series is that you pay for lots of extra functions if I for example have a keyboard with background light I wouldn't have much use for it because I'm used to use keyboards without and the lcd panel in some of the g series keyboards wouldn't make any difference because it's not compatible with warband anyhow but as you say krax they are tested and we all know that they are good. (another reasone for the steelseries is that it's mecanichal)

Post  Angantyr on Wed Sep 21, 2011 6:33 pm

Just don't buy the Roccat Valo keyboard, it is supposedly one of the fanciest on the market, and definitely one of the most expensive, but it's a shitty keyboard which for all its dozens of useless features fails at the one thing you use a keyboard for; namely typing. Worst keyboard I ever had.

But keep an eye out for the next keyboard in the Roccat series, it looks pretty nice.

The g series and Steel Series make quality gaming keyboards, but if you're young and don't have a fortune to spend I really think that the keyboard is the last hardware area a gamer needs to worry about ( and gamer keyboards takes up a lot of place on your desk ), so I'd personally just buy a flat keyboard with no strings attached ( for example one of the beautiful and very cheap Logitech typing keyboards http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=199547 ), unless of course you feel you need a lot of macro keys.

The only useful of all these new so-called 'gamer' features they use to sell expensive keyboards nowadays is in my opinion backlighting, though you say you don't need it yourself. There's also the anti-ghosting feature where you can hold down several keys at the same time without the commands overriding each other or whatnot, but I must admit I have never ever had a problem with this on a keyboard without the function. I also don't feel a difference with all the proclaimed extra responsiveness that many gamer keyboards boast to have.

The most important thing in a keyboard should be how good it is to type on and we all have different opinions of what makes a good keystroke so the only way to really know if you like a keyboard is actually trying it out in a store.

The Steel Series you linked looked very nice, really like the mechanic keys and simple design but I fear you might have to pay overprice for a lot of pretty useless features.

the steelseries keyboard I linked costs 699 sek and I think thats one of the cheapest keyboards with mechanical (and money isn't the biggest problem I have with buying a new keyboard) and right now the only thing I feel that I'm not so happy with in my gaming gear is the keyboard because some keys has begun rubbing against each other and that makes a noise that I sounds really much and it's like cutting with a knife in my ear

Any good ol' standard Dell keyboard will do, (year 2006+).
But if your searching for a gaming keyboard, i can at least suggest the Logitech G510, it's just like a G15, only cheaper (i think?) and with multiple colours! Very Happy
Best keyboard i ever had atleast!

And of course, don't buy any of the cheap end razer stuff... Those are horrible! (The high end stuff is good though!)

my razer keyboard is pretty good but I've begun to lost my fait in razer because right now the only thing they do is to add extra fetures all over the products (but my arctoza only has some anti ghosting and media control buttons) and make the gear really expensive

Pfft, keyboards. Any standard and recent piece will do just fine, if not better than the "gaming-based" keyboards.

I'm using a Z-board (basically has many different types of keyboards on detachable piece-sets, some oriented for specific games) for many years now, the original set comes with a typical qwerty key-set and a FPS oriented key-set. Both are very good and practical, though I only use the standard one nowadays.

FPS one has a zone in the left part of the keyboard with slightly larger than average WASD keys, control and c, a small space bar in itself, it really works good, though any gamer will do fine with a standard keyboard.

no when most iv gotten from working here, there and everywhere.... and when you order 3-4000 keyboards they sometimes give you gifts.....

    reallly shitty gifts tho... !

Bribes aint what they used to be.,... Ones i placed an order worth atleast 10mil and all i got was a shitty swatch clock and a free antivirus !....

A friend of mine they rented a castle for him for a week.... that bastard... then again he's order where worth 100mil tho... BUT clock vs castle didnt really feel like it was just 10 times better.

oh when i say castle i mean a castle not just a big house....
