Amon, me and T have gotten potential megalomaniacs, if you let them play CK2 with us.

They are that Bavarian whom I spoke of once and a Croatian person.

It will depend on how many of our own kin will be playing. I rather not have a game with TOO many people, I guess. :O

Ehh, you do know how shitty these Paradox games tend to run Multiplayer with too many people. Out of synch every 5 minutes, kinda shitty. Razz

We'll try, of course.

Hopefully not! The game manual recommends a maximum of 12. Razz

Tomi, I see some hope in those bland eyes of yours....a link to the manual, who would have thought! Thanks.

I see some very nice possibilities already! I guess plotting shall be mandatory!

I guess we will stick to our good old FFA rules for maximum carnage. Unless someone gets excommunicated wars are not that dangerous like in EU III since you can "only" loose the title the war is about.

We will have to look at assasinations though, dunno how it will be in the release client but at the moment they seem to be very powerful AND frequent. Not that I want to be without them, but in my demo game 2 of 4 brothers died by them and thats a bit much even for madevil times...

Amon I miss ye old chap. Hop on TS more often!

Also, I decided to invite yet another Vikingr player, William de Warrenne, do play with us. Very nice chap, he should find these forums soon. Very Happy

He will probably want to play as the good old Normans, as his Vikingr clan is based on, and his name suggests. ^^

I'll probably either want to play Portugal (FAR more interesting in this time period than the shitty colonizations in-game; you people probably don't know but Portugal started as a tiny county that owed vassalage to Castille, and by a series of events D. Afonso Henriques turned against his own mother who intended to keep serving Castille, who became the head of state when Afonso's father, D. Henrique died.

D. Afonso Henriques raised an army and rebelled, fighting his own mother's army and winning, and started fighting off the Moors that occupied most of what is known today as Portugal, while also fighting off Castille in their attempts to crush this opposition, led by Afonso's cousin.
In his lifetime, he conquered many cities and took the most soil from them, and the Reconquista ended 2 reigns later, leaving Portugal pretty much with the same dimension as it is today. SUPER SMALL, but at least we're not smelly, sleepy Spaniards. Very Happy

Or Bohemia!

By tackling Norway and not letting it get a good hold in England, he has a MUCH easier time claiming the entirety of the British Isles.

IDIOT. Very Happy

I was talking to you, you nub.

Denmark has a claim to England which he can use to declare war on England I think.

But that is if you're playing as Denmark.

Hello Gentlemen, I was directed here by Marzuk in order to sign up for the Crusader Kings 2 game. If you're accepting any outsiders(especially filthy foreign non nords like me) then I'd be quite happy to join in.

If you accept me you may address me as Lord Emperor of Greater Scandinavia already as I assure you, Europe will belong to me.

Re: Crusader Kings II - Megalomaniacs welcome.

Bienvenue Eddie12, ca va?

There will be a multiplayer test game on Wednesday the 15th 2000 CET. Everyone is invited to come and test the limits of the engine and potential hosting candidates. We wont be able to call upon the hosting qualities of Barabas or me this time. Someone with a sturdy connection, some knowlegde / willingness to set up a router if need be and someone who is reliable needs to do this.

At the weekend we will start the real multiplayer game, so its important to get the set up and testing done during the week. Post your avaibility at the weekend (friday 17th - sunday 19th) please. We best need some 4+ hours of continuous time for this. Breaks to feed the trolls or use the cat litter included.
It is realistic to aim for one day a week we play. Maybe shortly after release more is possible but I first and foremost want everyone able to join up and make it to one date. Short term replacement games and juggling with alternate times is a huge hassle for me or whoever wants to help organising this.

The AI seems more competent and due to our experience someone always misses a session so that it has to take over his realm. In case you chose a plot / have nice claims it can even pursue your long term goals since wars are more simple then in EU. Straight objective / allies / enemies. Additionally country management is much more simple as well. So no need to panic if you cannot show, your dynasty will be in better hands than ever before.

Ah. I dont care about noobish vanilla EU3 games. World conquest in 4 sessions and you should be free on saturdays.

Also. Pick your ruler between the 14th and the 16th. You guys want us all to play uniformly counts or dukes? There are big differences there as there are dukes who get to be King within one generation and those who are barely more than a count...
